8 Hour All Day Fishing
8 hr All Day Fishing Trip
Head out for a full day of sportfishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale. On this trip, we go fishing for 8 full hours. We spend a great majority of the time trolling to cover as much territory as we can, but we may also break up the trip with some live baiting and other methods. With 8 hour to fish out there, we have plenty of time to try some different areas/techniques during the trip. Catches vary every day (and even some days we catch nothing) but we're fishing in the grounds to catch mahi-mahi dolphin, wahoo, sailfish, sharks, barracuda, tuna, kingfish, bonito, amberjack, snapper, grouper, cobia and more. Anything can happen and often does.
On this trip, we take up to 10 fishermen. Depending on the amount of passengers, we will be fishing aboard either the 55ft Mary B III or our 46ft sportfishing boat. If there are 6 or less passengers, we may fish aboard our 46ft sportfishing boat. Both boats are set up for and do the same techniques of fishing. Fishing techniques we may try during our trip include reef trolling, offshore trolling, live baiting, shipwreck fishing, kite fishing, drift fishing, etc... whatever the captain thinks will catch the most/biggest fish.
The captain and mate are aboard to be your fishing guides. They are there to show you how to use the equipment, help with the fishing (baiting, rigging, gaffing fish) and they will be happy to clean your catch for you when you get back to the dock. They work hard to try to catch you fish and to make the trip fun. The crew's pay is low based on that they work mainly for tips. It is always customary to tip the crew at the end of the trip.
